The Bunker is a tight little novella that grabs your attention quickly and keeps it, as the reader unravels what has happened within the walls of this bunker, what was supposedly a safe place during an apocalyptic event, now has a dead man inside. A growing mistrust of the purveyor of the bunker makes for an interesting and brisk read that doesn't overstay its welcome, unlike some of the survivors.

Author Garrett Moe effectively distills the isolation and paranoia of the best Cold War-era speculative fiction and uses shifting POV narration to keep reads intrigued and engaged.
